YOUR DOGS AND GATEMAN

Two Ubulu-Uku Men-Iwebunor and Kabulu lived in one street in Lagos. Iwebunor was richer than Kabulu who was fond of visiting his kinsman at mosttime of the day.Each time Kabulu calls, Iwebunor’s wife who came from South East would stop Kabulu at the gate, pretending to protect Kabulu from their domestic dogs. Most times, this Igbo lady will not allow Kabulu to come inside the house. Iwebunor never knew about this and it kept happening.At a point, Kabulu stopped visiting for 6 months. After that period both brothers met at a wake-keep and Iwebunor asked kabulu why they have not been seeing.Kabulu replied “I stopped coming because of your dogs and gateman”. He did not say more than that and such words coming from kabulu made Iwebunorto start thinking because he never kept a gateman in the compound.Enquiring further, Iwebunor asked “who is my gateman” and Kabulu answered “your Igbo wife”…TO BE CONTINUED
